Casablanca

Casablanca is always regarded as one of the best movies ever made and i have to agree it is one of my favorites even though it's 75 years old. Here is a reminder who is in Casablanca Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine, Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa Lund, Paul Henried as Victor Laszlo. The story is that Rick has been in Casablanca  a while then all of sudden the only woman he has really loved llsa and her husband Victor come to Casablanca to hopefully get to America. The movie made me cry a little. But overall i would watch it again from time to time.It is preformed excellently by everyone. I am going to go ahead and say this is easily one of my personal favorites as well and holds up well 75 years later. So here is my Matrix score for Casablanca

La La Land

La La Land is one of my favorite interesting movies i have seen that has came out in the best 2 years. The story is really good, it revolves around two main characters Mia and Sebastian as they both to achieve their own end goal. Mia's goal is to become a actress and Sebastian's is to open up is own Jazz place. The  movie's story is interesting you get to see what happens to the both of them in each season Summer,Fall, Winter and Spring. The movie to me at least and maybe to other film critics it felt like a homage to films around either the 50's or 60's and that makes it feel wonderful to me, i have not see a lot of musicals this is my first one so i can't compare and contrast to one i love. So speaking about music i love it Ryan and Emma are wonderful singers, the songs they are quite interesting, and the parts where you see Ryan playing the Piano makes me happy simply because the Piano is my favorite instrument. So here is my matrix for La La Land.

Acting 9.5

Dunkirk

Dunkirk right now is my favorite movie of 2017 and and i am not being biased it is my own opinion. The story is about Operation Dynamo that last from May 26 to June 4 1940 it was due to the British,French and Belgian soldiers were surrounded by the Germans. The allies had 400,000 soldiers all combined, where as the Germans had 800,000 soldiers this was during The Battle of France. On the first day they were able only evacuate 7,669 by the end of June 4th they saved 338,226 men back home. This is where Winston Churchill told his people to go get your men and bring them back them home before time runs out. So how much did i know enjoy the movie i enjoyed every bit to me it's a different war movie it's more suspenseful for me at least since Saving Private Ryan if not more. I loved how Christopher Nolan shot the film in Dunkirk,France and how he used actual planes and boats.I loved the soundtrack it made my heart beat so much and the sound of the guns, plane and pretty much everything else was great. Harry Styles as Alex was excellent and Nolan hired an actor named Fionn Whitehead. Plus Tom Hardy as Farrier who was excellent as well. And lastly here is one little thing i loved so much the airplanes the dogfights were so loud but enjoyable and the bombers were loud too but great too.The only two problems was that i wish it was longer and that you didn't connect with a character but those are fine. And lastly my next project is on my top 100 favorite songs so stay tuned for part 1. So here is My Matrix score for Dunkirk

war for the planet of apes review

War for the planet of the apes is a fitting end to one my favorite film trilogies in recent memory. The story follows Ceaser on a vengeance goal to find the Colonel after he killed Ceaser's wife and son. The thing i love about the trilogy is that kept improving on each other and that's what i love about a saga of films. The acting is fantastic from both Andy Serkis and Woody Harrelson. Also the motion capture work is wonderful. And Here is my Matrix score for it

Lost In Translation

Lost In Translation is a 2003 Indie Film/Romance about A lonely, aging movie star named Bob Harris (Bill Murray) and a conflicted newlywed, Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), meet in Tokyo. Bob is there to film a Japanese whiskey commercial; Charlotte is accompanying her celebrity-photographer husband. It stars the following
 Bill Murray as Bob Harris
 Scarlet Johansson  as Charlotte
and Giovanni Ribisi as John
It's Directed by Sofia Coppola daughter of acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola.
It's one of the most interesting films i have seen period. I have never cared about love in films or tv shows i have watched, but this film made it where this there is not a lot of dating or sex but instead it's more character of them talking about them lost in life in there own ways. For Bob he feels like crap for missing his son's birthday and feeling like his marriage is falling apart. Then for Charlotte she only in her 20's felt like crap due to her husband John to always working at his photography job in Tokyo.Bob and Charlotte's relationship at first when i heard about the movie i felt it was going to be awkward but it wasn't and i adored it. Here is my Matrix

Things i learned

Things i learned from Auschwitz:The Nazis and The Final Solution. Episode 1 1.1 Million people died there, More than the American and British armies lost in all of WWII. The Nazi's called for extermination (Killing all Jews) the final solution. The First Auschwitz was called Stammlager in Western Poland in April 1940. At first it wasn't for Jews but for Polish Soldiers and one named Jerzy Bielecki because the nazis believed he was in the polish resistance and was sentenced to hanging torture. They moved it to where its been since May 8th 1940 in Oświęcim, Poland due to it's natural resources like fresher water. And a man named Himmler wanted it from 10,000 prisoners to 30,000. But there were problems with the local Nazi Leader Heinrich Himmler due to a possible sewage problem but
Himmler got his way. Before it the drawings were hidden and they surfaced from of the original architect. Some of the plans make it more like a little village than a concentration camp. It also had something like an Apartment for Himmler has ann home far from his actual home it was the Reichsfuher plus Furniture. But Hitler had a completely different ideal view of Auschwitz and it dwarfed what Himmler had contemplated. And due to planning to invade the soviet union in 1941 it changed what the function of Auschwitz. Before the end of 1941,Hitler expected his men to be walking on Moscow's Red Square. And Hitler thought it was not that hard to defeat Stalin and his army. Their plan wad Mass Starvation. In three weeks of their plan they captured 3 million Soviet prisoners and within nine months 2 million died and most of them due to starvation. And any Soviet political officers or commissars were to be shot if they were any of the 3 million prisoners. In 1939 Hitler ordered that severely disabled children could be murdered then when the war began it also applied to adults as well. They would be sent to a clinic called Sonnenstien clinic near Dresden, there were six other's like it all through Germany. Around 70,000 disabled were killed by carbon monoxide gas by the summer of 1941, they were simply told they were taking a shower. Himmler was traveling to Minsk on August 15, 1941 he watched a execution of Jews and alleged partisans, after the shooting SS General Erich Von Dem Bach Zelewski said there was a problem with the shooters they were murdering women and children at close range and in cold blood. And Himmler wanted a better way of killing them and that's why Dr.Albert Widmann of the technical institute of the criminal police traveled into eastern Europe due to the research and killing the disabled. While Hoss away from Auschwitz his deputy Karl Fritzsch used Zyklon B gas he used the infamous section to first to first test it, prisoners were crammed together to the point where they couldn't breathe, on a date in late August or early September 1941 Fritzsch ordered be prepared the use of Zyklon B and that the doors and windows to be sealed and the whole block locked down

Following review

Following is 1998 mystery crime. It tells the story of a young man who follows strangers around the streets of London and is drawn into a criminal underworld when he fails to keep his distance. It's the debut of Christopher Nolan and the budget only was $6,000.

It's a interesting movie not the best i have ever seen, but one of the best films shot with a very low budget.
